This page contains the most common error codes you might see in Gorilla. It tells you what they mean and what to do about them.

What this error means: You are trying to clone an asset into a project where you do not have edit permissions.
What to do: Clone the asset again, but this time select a project you own, or a project where you are a collaborator with edit permissions.
What this error means: You have too many open referrals to initiate a new one. This error most frequently occurs when you are inviting a lot of collaborators who do not yet have Gorilla accounts.
What to do: Follow up with the collaborators you have invited and ask them to complete the signup process. This will open up more referral slots, allowing you to invite more collaborators who do not yet have Gorilla accounts.
What this error means: Something has gone wrong when trying to clone a Gorilla asset.
What to do: Contact the support team, quoting the error and providing a link to the asset you were trying to clone.
What this error means: You have tried to clone a Project that uses disallowed characters in the Project Name, and have not removed the disallowed characters before pressing Clone.
What to do: Clone the Project again, but this time, delete or replace any disallowed characters from the Project Name before you press Clone. The only characters allowed are alpha numeric characters and any of the following: -'()_
What this error means: You are trying to change the Name or Description of an asset where you do not have edit permissions.
What to do: Clone the asset and make the change in your own version.
What this error means: You are trying to include a participant in an experiment, but you are not the project owner.
What to do: Contact the project owner and ask them to include the participant, or contact the support team and select Project Ownership Change Request.

What this error means: You have tried to create a Project that uses disallowed characters in the Project Name.
What to do: Create the Project again, but this time, do not use any disallowed characters in the Project Name. The only characters allowed are alpha numeric characters and any of the following: -'()_
What this error means: You are trying to Send an asset where you do not have edit permissions.
What to do: Clone the asset and send your own version.
Variations: storage-lease-error-0, storage-lease-error-1, storage-lease-error-2
What this error means: There has been an issue saving or retrieving changes to your Gorilla task.
What to do: Contact the support team, quoting the error and providing a link to the task where you encountered it.
