This tutorial demonstrates how to configure the Mousetracking component in Task Builder 2. In this example, we have four Image components with Click Response components. In the Screen Tab, the Mousetracking component has been added.
Participants are asked to choose one of the images. In this tutorial, we have not turned on the Record Coordinates toggle in the Mousetracking component. This means that we will not receive the mouse coordinates in the output. For the purpose of this tutorial, we do not need the exact coordinates of the mouse on the screen, as we will receive the Response Duration and Proportion of the mouse position in relation to the Image components on the screen. If you would like to receieve the exact coordinates of the mouse position on the screen, the Record Coordinates toggle should be switched on. By doing so, you will receive an additional spreadsheet which contains the full coordinates data regarding the mouse position.
